‘Written and Directed by God’ release postponed: Sunny Wayne–Saiju Kurup starrer to hit the big screens on THIS date

The release of ‘Written and Directed by God’, a family comedy starring Sunny Wayne and Saiju Kurup, has been officially postponed.

Saiju Kurup took to their official social media handle to share a new poster along with the release date update. The latest poster features the actor Sunny Wayne, Aparna Das, and Saiju Kurup. Sunny Wayne seems to be playing the God character in the film. The poster promises a feel-good comedy entertainer with fantasy elements.

The film, which was earlier scheduled to hit theatres on May 16, will now be released on June 5, 2025. The change in release date was confirmed by the makers, citing scheduling adjustments and a better window for theatrical release.

The film features an impressive ensemble cast led by Sunny Wayne, Saiju Kurup, and Aparna Das. Supporting roles are played by a mix of seasoned actors and fresh faces, including Abhishek Ravindran, Vaishakh Vijayan, Sreelakshmi Santhosh, Chembil Ashokan, Neena Kurup, Manikandan Pattambi, Jolly Chirayath, Babu Jose, Austin Dan, Dinesh Prabhakar, and Balaji Sharma. Touted as a clean family comedy, the film aims to offer laughter with a message, appealing to viewers of all ages.


The story, screenplay, and dialogues for Written and Directed by God have been penned by Jomon John, Linto Devasia, and Roshan Mathew. The film marks the directorial debut of Febi George.

The musical score is composed by Shaan Rahman, with lyrics by Iqbal Kuttippuram, B. K. Harinarayanan, Manu Manjith, and Haritha Hari Babu. The film’s cinematography is handled by Bablu Aju, while Abhishek GA takes care of editing duties.
