Will Major Ravi's K'wood debut ever take off?
It was indeed a proud moment for Major Ravi when he decided to make his first Tamil movie Meikaan, with Arjun Sarja in the lead role. But when the shoot was halfway through, producer S M Raja announced that he won't be able to proceed with the project due to lack of funds, which ultimately delayed the project.
'The first schedule of the movie was over almost two years ago. I have not been able to work on the project since then,' says Major Ravi, adding, 'Arjun also got busy with other commitments.' However, the director is hoping to resume the project within the next two months.

'Meikaan, which was shot extensively in Malaysia, will be resumed within the next two months, if there are no more hindrances,' he says.
However, he says, the title of the movie is likely to be changed. Meikaan is based on a murder mystery following an eye transplantation. Arjun plays an intelligence officer. Ashwathy Ashok of Moz N' Cat fame and Ragini play prominent roles in the flick.
Meanwhile, Major Ravi is busy with the release of his Malayalam film, Oru Yathrayil. 'I am looking forward to see how the audience reacts to this one as it features five short films directed by five directors ' Vinod Vijayan, Priyanandanan, Rajesh Amanakara, Mathews and myself,' he says. His short film is titled Amma, while Vijyayan's is Sarvashiksha Abhiyan, Priyanandanan's Marichavarude Kadal, Rajesh Amanakara's Honeymoon, and Mathews', I Love My Appa.
