Reflecting on Mohanlal and Mammootty’s influence, Anoop Menon acknowledged that they were the guiding figures for his generation of actors. “Lalettan and Mammookka are the teachers for every actor in my generation. We initially learned the art by imitating them,” he noted.
Anoop also spoke about how people sometimes compare his looks and gestures to Mohanlal. “Since I’m chubby and look a little like him, people say my acting style is similar to his. But it’s mostly just the looks. My mother was the first to tell me that I resemble Lalettan,” he added.
Mohanlal recently announced his next project with the ‘Varaal’ actor via an Instagram post. Mohanlal said that the project is very close to his heart. “Delighted to announce my next film, a dramatic journey traversing love, longing and music to be shot extensively in Thiruvananthapuram, Kolkata and Shillong. Written and directed by Anoop Menon and featuring a stellar team BTS, produced by Timeless movies, this subject is so close to my heart..I sincerely welcome all of you to be part of our epic journey. @anoopmenoninclusive,” reads Mohanlal’s Instagram note.
