​Mollywood to a temporary halt

In the wake of the second wave of coronavirus, the state government has imposed several restrictions and hence the theatres in the state have also shut down. Many films including ‘Kho Kho’, ‘Chathurmukham’ were withdrawn from the cinemas considering the safety of the audience. Shoots of many films including ‘Kaduva’ and ‘Pathonpatham Noottandu’ went into a temporary halt.

​Marakkar - Arabikkadalinte Simham release pushed

Owing to the restrictions, the makers of ‘Marakkar - Arabikkadalinte Simham’ postponed the release. The movie which was slated for release on March 13, has been postponed to August 12. The film is directed by Priyadarshan and has Mohanlal in the lead.

KV Anand no more

Cinematographer- filmmaker KV Anand passed away on April 30. The 54-year-old passed away in a private hospital in Chennai after suffering from a cardiac arrest. KV Anand, who started his career as a cinematographer with the Malayalam movie ‘Thenmavin Kombathu’ has also worked in many Tamil and Hindi films. M-Town celebs including Mohanlal expressed grief on the untimely demise of KV Anand.

unni Unni Mukundan shared his experience working with ‘Bhramam’

‘Bhramam’ directed by Ravi K Chandran is one of the most anticipated upcoming Malayalam films. In an exclusive interview with ETimes, Unni Mukundan spilled the beans about the project. The actor shared that the film is not just a remake of ‘Andhadhun’, but has a lot more surprises in the box.

​Mohanlal’s organic garden

As the state government has issued several regulations to ebb the rising number of COVID-19 cases, most of the actors are at home. Mohanlal, who has been working on his maiden directorial venture ‘Marakkar - Arabikkadalinte Simham’ also took a temporary break. And the actor was seen working in his organic garden this week. The video of the actor practicing organic gardening made headlines for all right reasons.
