WCC needs your opinions: Rima Kallingal
The Women in Cinema Collective (WCC) had its first meeting with invited guests on Sunday evening at Kochi. While the founders including Revathi, Padmapriya, Rima Kallingal and Parvathy formed the panel, the guests included people from a variety of fields. "We felt that the we are the ones who keep on talking at the WCC. Let’s see what others have to say, that’s why we asked people from different fields to pitch in their thoughts, their perspectives.

This is just a beginning," said Rima Kallingal at the meeting.
The Smita Patel film Mirch Masala was screened at the meet. The reason, Rima says is that it talks of some issues which are still relevant. "We decided to screen the movie Mirch Masala primarily because we wish to show that we are discussing the very same issues we discussed 20-25 years back. Nothing has changed. What now? Where do we go from here?" she asks.
