Mohanlal ‘Marakkar: Arabikkadalinte Simham’ has set the internet ablaze! Makers of Mohanlal starrer ‘Marakkar: Arabikkadalinte Simham’ has released the first behind-the-scenes video with fans. In the video, Thala Ajith Kumar is seen paying a surprise visit on the extravagant set, which was built in Ramoji Rao Film City, Hyderabad. The superstar who is friends with Priyadarshan and Mohanlal visited the sets of Marakkar and met the cast and crew. The video shows a humble and warming Ajith Kumar greeting the actors, technicians, and others crew members. Ajith Kumar also spent some quality time conversing with Mohanlal.

‘Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham (Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea) is an upcoming epic historical war film. Helmed by veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan, the film is set in the 16th century.
‘Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham’ tells the story of Kunjali Marakkar IV, a naval commander of the Samoothiri, known for defending the Malabar Coast against the Portuguese invasion. Mohanlal has roped into the shoes of Kunjali Marakkar IV. The film is made on a massive budget of Rs. 100 crore. The film has some of the A-listers from Indian cinema including, Pranav Mohanlal, Arjun, Suniel Shetty, Prabhu, Manju Warrier, Suhasini, Keerthi Suresh, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Fazil, Siddique, Nedumudi Venu, Innocent, and Ashok Selvan among others. ‘Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham’ has also bagged three awards at the 67th National Film Awards, for Best Feature Film, Best Special Effects, and Best Costume. The makers had earlier confirmed a direct OTT release for the magnum opus, however, they are in talks with exhibitors and the government too has intervened to request a theatrical release, and the decision is awaited. The big ticket release would not only draw more audience to the cinemas, but also help the industry in beating the pandemic blues.
