Watch: Manju Warrier and Kala master recreate ‘Kannadi Koodum Kootti’ after 24 years!

Superstar Manju Warrier has received the opportunity to work with some of the finest film personnel from the Malayalam and Tamil movie industries. And one among them is dance choreographer Kala master. It was Kala master who choreographed Manju Warrier’s chartbuster song ‘Kannadi Koodum Kootti’. The colourful song teamed with charismatic moves continues to entertain the cinephiles and the duo had recently teamed up to recreate the lovely number.
Manju Warrier has shared the making video of the nostalgic melody, and recreating the song indeed seems like a trip down memory lane for the duo and the audience! Interestingly, Manju Warrier is also dancing to the colourful song after 24 years!
“Same actor. Same song. Same choreographer. The only difference... 24 years 😊,” Manju Warrier wrote, while sharing the song on her social media handle.

‘Kannadi Koodum Kootti’ is a song from the 1998 release ‘Pranayavarnangal’ directed by Sibi Malayil. Suresh Gopi, Manju Warrier, Divya Unni, and Biju Menon played the lead roles in the film. ‘Kannadi Koodum Kootti’ was composed by Vidyasagar, penned by Gireesh Puthenchery, and crooned by the legendary KJ Yesudas, and, KS Chithra.

Incidentally, the recreated version of ‘Kannadi Koodum Kootti’ also features Manju Warrier and Biju Menon!
Meanwhile, on the work front, Manju Warrier’s latest release was ‘Lalitham Sundaram’. The film featured Manju Warrier and Biju Menon in the lead roles. The movie also marked the duo's reunion after about two decades. Helmed by Manju Warrier’s brother Madhu, the film was a direct-to-digital release.
