Malarvaadi Arts Club

He certainly started with a bang, when he made his debut as a writer-director with this story of friendship and hope. The hugely successful film also marked the debut of several actors, including Nivin Pauly, Aju Varghese and Siju Wilson.

Thattathin Marayathu
Love stories with an inter-religious conflict has been repeated several times, but Vineeth Sreenivasan still managed to bring a freshness to the subject in his 2012 film. Was it Isha Talwar’s portrayal of a coy Muslim girl, was it Nivin Pauly’s charming totally-in-love Hindu boy or was it the beautiful songs? We’ll say it was all three that contributed to make this another huge hit.

Thira

A thriller, Thira marked Shobana’s return to Malayalam cinema after a few years and was also the debut vehicle of Vineeth Sreenivasan’s brother Dhyan.

Jacobinte Swargarajyam

Based on the story of his friend, the film, focusing on the relationship between a father and son caught in the midst of business problems, is also a coming of age story. The chemistry between Nivin Pauly and Renji Panicker, and the loving family dynamics makes us laugh and cry with the characters.


Hridayam
What can we say, but that expectations are high on this upcoming venture. After all, this love story sees the romantic pairing of Pranav Mohanlal and Kalyani Priyadarshan, and according to Vineeth Sreenivasan’s own admission, is a memoir of his college days, when he met and fell in love with his wife Divya.
