It is for the first time that siblings Vineeth and
Dhyan Sreenivasan are sharing screen space in a film. But what’s more interesting is that the brothers, who play cousins in their upcoming project Kunjiramayanam, will also be seen as enemies in it!
Its director Basil Joseph says, “Dhyan’s character is that of an innocent village boy Lalu while Vineeth plays Kunjiraman, who is a ‘gulfukaran’ in the film.
They are cousins, but the two families are at war and can’t stand each other." Most of the actors have been given a fresh look in the entertainer. Vineeth sports a thick moustache throughout the film. Aju Varghese will be seen in the role of a tailor while Neeraj Madhav dons the role of a painter.
The director says that although there are heroines like Srinda, Sneha Unnikrishnan and Arya of Badai Bungalow fame in the film, the movie is not the usual hero-heroine one. “Sneha is paired opposite Dhyan while Srinda plays a naive naadan character, who is shown as a prospective bride for Vineeth in the film.”
The experimental film will see Tamil music director Justin Prabhakaran compose the music for which Vineeth will lend his voice to two of the songs. Scripted by Deepu Pradeep, the story unfolds in a fantasy village and is progressing in Kollengode, Palakkad.
