‘Veendum’: East Coast Vijayan’s legendary love song series returns after 15 years

Fifteen years after the iconic love song series that included Ninakkayi, Adhyamayi, Ormakkayi, Swantham, Iniennum, and Ennennum, lyricist East Coast Vijayan has revived his romantic melodies with a brand-new album titled Veendum. The much-awaited sequel was launched on Valentine’s Day at a grand event at IMA Hall, Kaloor, Kochi.


Actors Dileep and Indrans jointly unveiled the album by handing over the CD to East Coast Vijayan. The event witnessed an impressive gathering of film, music, and cultural personalities, including Vishnu Unnikrishnan, Johnny Antony, Manikandan, Sanju Sivaram, Sadiq, Mokksha, Ambika Mohan, Thesni Khan, Gauri Nanda, Sarayu Mohan, Sruthi Lakshmi, Geethi Sangeetha, singer Najim Arshad, directors G.S. Vijayan, M. Padmakumar, Kannan Thamarakkulam, producers B. Rakesh, Ouseppachan Valakuzhi, Badusha, and writer Sibi K. Thomas.



The highlight of the evening was the launch of the music video Orapadu Sneham Chorinju Nee Eppozhum…, sung by Vijay Yesudas. The video, featuring models and real-life couple Vishnu and Swarna, is already receiving rave reviews.

‘Veendum’ consists of five soulful tracks, including the much-anticipated debut singing performance of actress Mokksha. The album also features songs sung by Unni Menon, Najim Arshad, and Rimi Tomy. Music lovers can now enjoy Veendum across all major streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, and JioSaavn.

During the launch, actor Dileep showered praise on East Coast Vijayan, calling him a master of love-themed songwriting.

"You would think that this man has so much love. He creates songs by tapping into different words through various thoughts. All those songs are filled with love. He is thinking about the level at which each diversion of love can be thought. The levels of love; we can see and hear through his songs. Love is a great feeling. All that can be found through Vijayettan's songs. I see Vijayan Chettan as a wholesale dealer of love," Dileep remarked.

With ‘Veendum’, East Coast Vijayan once again proves why his romantic melodies remain timeless, captivating listeners with heartwarming lyrics and soulful tunes.
