Vedhika to play the lead in Amar Akbar Antony

Vedhika was last seen in Cousins as Kunchako Boban’s love interest. The actress seems to be slowly gaining a strong foothold in M-town with some good projects in her kitty. Next up for her is mimicry artiste-turned-actor and TV personality Nadirsha’s maiden directorial venture Amar Akbar Antony, a multi-starrer with a single heroine.
Nadirsha is tight-lipped about the story of the film but the project will go on floors on March 15, he says.The film will have an ensemble cast; actors Prithviraj, Indrajith and Jayasurya will team up after Classmates for this film. This is for the second time post Kaaviya Thalaivan, a historical fiction film, that Vedhika is sharing screen space with M-town heartthrob Prithviraj. Currently, she is shooting for P Vasu’s Shivalinga in which she is paired opposite Kannada actor Shivraj Kumar. It is after a hiatus that Vedhika is taking up a project in Sandalwood. She was last seen in Ravi Varma’s Sangama opposite actor Ganesh.
The actress was initially roped in for Dileep-starrer Chandrettan Evideya helmed by Siddharth Bharathan. However, due to date clashes with her ongoing project she could not take up the Malayalam film. Nadirsha had earlier confirmed that the movie has no connection with the Bollywood hit film Amar Akbar Antony. The shoot locations will be Kochi, Ootty and Thailand.
