‘Vallyettan 4K’ OTT release: Mammootty’s classic action drama to start streaming on THIS date

Among all the other-releases of the superstar Mammootty, the classic action drama movie ‘Vallyettan’ re-release turned out to be successful and now the film’s 4K version is gearing up for an OTT release.



For those who wants to watch the newly re-released 4K version of ‘Vallyettan’, can tune into Manorama Max OTT platform from February 7 onwards. The OTT platform shared the new via their Instagram handle with a caption that read, “ഷാജി കൈലാസിന്റെ സംവിധാനത്തിൽ മമ്മൂട്ടി, സായി കുമാർ, സിദ്ദിഖ്, മനോജ്‌ കെ. ജയൻ, ശോഭന, പൂർണ്ണിമ എന്നിവർ പ്രധാന വേഷങ്ങളിൽ അഭിനയിച്ച് 2000-ൽ പ്രദർശനത്തിനിറങ്ങിയ ചിത്രം വല്ല്യേട്ടൻ 4 K DOLBY ഫെബ്രുവരി 7 ന് വരുന്നു മനോരമ മാക്‌സിൽ…”


‘Vallyettan’ 4K version hit the big screens on November 29 and it received positive responses from the audiences who called it the perfect film to get re-released as it had all the elements to satisfy the fans.


According to the Sacnilk website, the 4K version of the film had collected Rs 75 lakhs worldwide in just 21 days and the India net collections for the movie stood at Rs 68 lakhs. The India gross collections were Rs 75 lakhs. The Malayalam net collections for the movie in 21 days stood at Rs 68 lakhs. Although these collections don’t seem much, ‘Vallyettan’ re-release was the most successful re-release of the superstar.


Directed by Shaji Kailas and scripted by Ranjith, ‘Vallyettan’ hit the big screens in 2000 and turned out to be an all-time blockbuster. The songs by Mohan Sithara and C Rajamani’s background score is considered an epic. The movie also featured the actors Shobana, Sai Kumar, N. F. Varghese, Siddique, and Manoj K Jayan in pivotal roles.
