Unni Mukundan’s ‘Marco’ receives an ‘A’ certificate

Touted to be Mollywood’s most violent film ever made, Unni Mukundan’s upcoming action thriller ‘Marco’ has now secured an A certification from CBFC.

According to the reports, ‘Marco’ has received ‘A’ certification with fewer cuts, indicating that the movie can be enjoyed in its real and raw sense with fewer cuts. As the movie is all set to grace the big screens on December 20, the expectation levels are quite high.

‘Marco’ will be hitting the big screens in 5 languages and the Hindi teaser for the Unni Mukundan starrer was unveiled by the Bollywood superstar John Abraham. The teaser received widespread attention from the audiences and it promised a violent action flick which is similar to John Wick and other Korean violent movies.


Recently ‘Marco’ makers shared the Dabzee version of the theme song titled ‘Blood’ which received criticisms from the audiences, especially due to its flawed mixing. The makers then re-released another version of the song which was crooned by the ‘KGF’ fame Santhosh Venky and received good reviews from the audiences.


Meanwhile, the makers had also shared another song named ‘Marpapa’ which was crooned by Baby Jean. Within a few hours, the makers unveiled another remixed version which was 1.25 x speed version of the same song. Sharing the new version, the makers shared an Instagram note that read, “Accelerating you Beats! MARCO - MARPAPA ft. Baby Jean 1.25X Version is HERE! Feel the beat, feel the vibe—now available on all audio platforms.”




Directed by Haneef Adeni, ‘Marco’ is a spin-off of the villain character by the same name from the Nivin Pauly starrer ‘Mikhael’. Unni Mukundan will be stepping into the shoes of a stylish and intense villain in the spin-off and from the teaser it seems that the movie will revolve around Marco’s revenge.


Unni Mukundan, Jagadish, Anson Paul, Siddique, Riyaz Khan and Kabir Duhan Singh will be playing pivotal roles in the action flick.
