Unni Mukundan and Mahima Nambiar starrer ‘Jai Ganesh’ has gone on floors on Thursday, November 9. The team kickstarted the film with a puja function at Thrikkakkara temple at 10:30 am. Unni Mukundan, Jomol, Mahima Nambiar, and filmmaker Ranjith Sankar, among others, were present at the puja ceremony.
Unni Mukundan dropped the pictures from the puja ceremony and captioned, “Om Ganeshaya Namah.”

Directed by Ranjith Sankar, ‘Jai Ganesh’ features Unni Mukundan in the lead role. The film has Mahima Nambiar as the leading lady. Written and directed by Ranjith Shankar, Unni Mukundan's role in ‘Jai Ganesh’ is said to be one of the most challenging characters he has played in his career. Touted to be a family entertainer, the film has a storyline that appeals to children and adults alike. The makers have confirmed that the first look poster will be out in two days. The upcoming film will also feature yesteryear actress Jomol in a pivotal role. She is returning to the silver screen after a while. Jomol plays the role of a criminal lawyer in the film. Actors Hareesh Peradi, Ashokan, Ravindra Vijay, and Nandu have roped in to play supporting characters in the film.
The shoot will begin on November 11 in the surrounding areas of Ernakulam. ‘Jai Ganesh’ also marks Unni’s film after the success of ‘Malikapuram’.
On the technical front, ‘Jai Ganesh’ has Chandru Selvaraj as the cinematographer. Sangeeth Prathap is the editor. Liju Prabhakar is the DI colorist. The music is done by Sankar Sharma. The sound design is done by Tapas Nayak. The production design is done by Sooraj Kuruvilangad. The makeup is done by Ronex Xavier. The costumes are designed by Vipin Das.
