Sharing a captivating poster and a nostalgic video snippet from the film, Unni Mukundan penned a touching note, acknowledging the overwhelming support received, stating, "One year of #Malikappuram! Thank you all. Swami Saranam."
Directed by Vishnu Sasi Shankar and penned by Abhilash Pillai, 'Malikappuram' made its theatrical debut on December 30, 2022, marking a compelling journey in the realm of emotional drama. Unni Mukundan played a pivotal role in the film, portraying a mysterious character intertwined with Little Kallu's pilgrimage to Sabarimala, seeking a glimpse of Swami Ayyappan.
The movie was intricately shot across various locales, including Konni, Kalleli, Lahai, Pamba, Sabarimala Temple, and Erumely. Vishnu Narayanan's cinematography and Shameer Muhammed's editing complemented the narrative, while Ranjin Raj's soundtrack added depth to the film's emotional core.
