The drama film ‘Ullozhukku,’ starring Parvathy Thiruvothu and Urvashi, continues to hold its ground at the box office, despite modest numbers. The film, written and directed by Christo Tomy, has garnered a total of Rs 4.11 crore worldwide in its first 21 days.
According to the Sacnilk website, the India Net collections stand at Rs 3.65 crores, with the India Gross matching the worldwide figure at Rs 4.11 crore. On the 21st day alone, the movie collected Rs 3 lakhs from the Kerala Box Office (KBO).
Despite a slow start, ‘Ullozhukku’ has managed to maintain a steady pace at the box office.
‘Ullozhukku’ (transl. Undercurrent) is a gripping drama set against the backdrop of a flood-ravaged region in Kerala. The story revolves around a woman and her daughter-in-law, played by Urvashi and Parvathy, respectively, who struggle to bury a loved one amidst the chaos caused by heavy floods. The postponement of the burial due to the deluge brings to light long-buried secrets and lies, threatening the unity of the family.
