‘Turbo’ director Vysakh to team up with Mohanlal

Director Vysakh is currently riding high on success, thanks to his latest release ‘Turbo’ starring Mammootty. As ‘Turbo’ continues to bring audience to the theatres, and make solid figures at the box office, Vysakh has confirmed his next venture. In a recent interview, he divulged about teaming up with Mohanlal. He addressed the backlash received for his previous collaboration ‘Monster (2022) with Mohanlal, and stated that another film is on the cards with the superstar.

Vysakh stated that the shortcomings of their previous collaboration will be compensated in the upcoming project. The upcoming Mohanlal film is said to be an actioner, made on a massive scale. The director also confirmed that the script has been finalised and it will be backed by Mohanlal’s home production. He has also revealed that the film will go on floors once the actor’s dates are locked.

Meanwhile, ‘Turbo’ has crossed Rs 50 crore in the initial five days of its release. ETimes rated the film 4 out of 5 and wrote, “Forgive the colloquialism, but Mammukka oru rakshailla. Having said that, equal credit to writer Midhun Manuel Thomas and director Vysakh for keeping Turbo charged nonstop, with a compelling, well-made mass entertainer. Mammootty, like Malayalam cinema, is at an energetic high. There is a clue about a part two and this is a sequel that audiences will be waiting for.”
