Kaniha was recently in the news as she collaborated with eight other stellar actresses to celebrate the spirit of Margazhi. Headed by Suhasini Mani Ratnam, Kaniha, SHobana, Revathy, Nithya Menon and a few others teamed up to sing the first thiruppavai. Titled 'Maargazhi Thingal', the music video went viral.

On the work front, Kaniha’s last outing in Malayalam was ‘Mamangam’. She played a supporting role in the Mammootty starrer film.

Meanwhile, Kaniha will be next seen in ‘Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir’. It is a Tamil film starring Vijay Sethupathi and Kaniha will be sharing the screen with him. While speaking to ETimes, Kaniha divulged that she will be playing a Sri Lankan refugee in the film.
