‘Athiradi’ to arrive soon

The makers of the multi-starrer Malayalam film ‘Athiradi’ have confirmed that the film will hit the big screens in May. Yes, that’s right. On Friday, the makers of the film dropped a new poster and announced that the film will be released on May 14!





“The celebrations begin now! Releasing May 14th, 2026. Let the fireworks begin,” they said in a post shared on Instagram.

All about ‘Athiradi’

Billed as a full-fledged entertainer, ‘Athiradi’ is helmed by Arun Anirudhan, who has previously co-scripted the superhero film ‘Minnal Murali’. Earlier, the makers launched a poster featuring Basil Joseph. The actor-filmmaker appeared in a young avatar. The poster went viral, and Basil Joseph’s makeover became the talk of the town. The upcoming film is touted to be a college-based drama. The makers haven’t revealed much about the cast, however, multiple reports suggest that Darshana Rajendran, Zarin Shihab, and Riya Shibu have been roped in as the female leads.

As Tovino Thomas and Basil Joseph’s previous collaborations, including ‘Minnal Murali’ have been successful, all eyes are on the project. With Vineeth Sreenivasan’s presence, the anticipation has only heightened.
