Tovino Thomas' much-awaited thriller 'Forensic' has gone on floors. The film features Tovino in the role of a forensic department employee and also stars
Mamta Mohandas in a pivotal character. Although the duo isn't paired as a couple in the movie, fans of the two are excited to see them share the frame.
Earlier today, the team performed the pooja of the movie at Palakkad. Helmed by
Akhil Paul, the scriptwriter of '7th Day', the movie is co-directed by Anas Khan. The duo have penned the screenplay too. Interestingly, ‘Forensic’ was to be directed by cinematographer-filmmaker Sujith Vassudev however due to prior commitments, Sujith had to opt-out of the project and the scriptwriters took over the job of direction too.

The tagline of ‘Forensic’ reads 'The science of a crime', the film is bankrolled by Navis Xaviour and Siju Mathew under the banner of Juvis Production. Tovino had recently visited the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology and the Forensic Science lab of Kerala Police Academy in Thiruvananthapuram, as part of preparations for his role. Touted to be a crime thriller, Akhil George is cranking the lens. Jakes Bejoy is handling the music and Shameer Muhammed has roped in as the editor.
