Tovino Thomas, known for his involvement in high-scale films such as ‘Minnal Murali’, and the upcoming ‘Ajayante Randam Moshanam’, shifts gears towards a low-budget project, 'Adrishya Jalakangal,' challenging his acting boundaries in a grounded cinematic endeavor.
Despite recognizing the film's unlikely blockbuster potential, Tovino, during a press conference in Kochi, sheds light on his role as a producer and his unconventional approach to remuneration.
Expressing his understanding of the film's non-commercial nature, Tovino highlighted his decision to not demand his usual remuneration. Instead, he opted to align his compensation with the film's scale, recognizing that the project might not generate blockbuster revenues. This approach was also taken by the actor during the action drama movie 'Kala' (2021), where he chose to invest in the film rather than taking a salary for his acting contribution.
Emphasizing that artistic fulfillment surpasses financial gain in his film choices, Tovino opened up about his satisfaction in exploring diverse roles, a dream he pursued since his beginning in the industry. Each film, for him, serves as an invaluable learning experience, reinforcing his commitment to the craft.
Meanwhile, 'Adrishya Jalakangal' recently premiered at the Tallinn Black Nights International Film Festival, also featuring a talented cast including Nimisha Sajayan and Indrans. The film, enriched by Yedhu Radhakrishnan's cinematography, Davis Manuel's editing, and Ricky Kej's musical brilliance, portrays a captivating narrative underscored by profound storytelling.
Earlier, the makers shared the trailer for the movie which received appreciation from the movie buffs who were also in awe after watching the magnificent body transformation of Tovino Thomas for the movie.
