Tovino Thomas lauds Rowdy Baby’s latest milestone

Mollywood actor Tovino Thomas was all praise for Maari 2 song Rowdy Baby’s latest milestone. The Tamil song, which featured Dhanush and Sai Pallavi, crossed 1 billion YouTube views recently and became the first South Indian song to do so.
“#RowdyBaby crossed 1B YouTube views!! First South Indian song!! Congratulations to Dhanush, Sai Pallavi, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Balaji Mohan, Prabhudheva and the entire team of #Maari2..Lucky to be a part of this particular movie,” wrote Tovino, on his social media page.
Tovino played the villain named Beeja aka Thanatos in the Tamil movie that released almost two years ago, and had sported several get-ups for his characters. The film also marked his first full-fledged Tamil movie.
In a previous interview with us, he had said, “Beeja was someone who believed that he is a personification of death. He got his own arc in the film. The look demanded me to be ‘terrifyingly charming’. It was a very interesting character and I had tried my best. The film had a big canvas and it had action elements that the mass audience could connect to.”
Meanwhile, Tovino is currently shooting for Manu Ashokan’s Kaanekkaane, which also has Aishwarya Lekshmi, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Shruti Ramachandran. He had also almost completed his portions for Rohith VS’ ‘man vs wild’ survival thriller titled Kala, during the shoot of which he got injured.
The actor has also signed Aashiq Abu’s upcoming movie titled Naradan, in which he reportedly plays a journalist. The film also has Anna Ben as part of the cast.
