‘Thuramukham’ features Nivin Pauly as Moidu, a youngster from Mattanchery. The film revolves around the uprisings of the labourers against the ‘chappa’ system. The infamous ‘chappa’ system was prevailing in Cochin harbour during the 1940s and 50s, where a copper coin was tossed in the air and workers had to fight to grab the coin for work. Earlier in an interview with Kochi Times, Nivin Pauly said, “Thuramukham is going to be a totally different film. Rajeev Ravi has conceived it in his trademark style and I feel it will be a classic.”

Featuring Nivin Pauly in the lead role, ‘Thuramukham’ also has Joju George, Indrajith, Sudev Nair, Manikandan, Arjun Asokan, Nimisha Sajayan, Poornima Indrajith, and Darshana Rajendran in the pivotal roles.

The gripping trailer has added the buzz amongst the audience, and the film is expected to be opening in packed theatres in June.
