'Thudakkam': Mohanlal’s daughter Vismaya to make her acting debut; Jude Anthany directs

Mollywood superstar Mohanlal's daughter Vismaya Mohanlal is all set to take her first step into the world of cinema. Titled 'Thudakkam', the film will be helmed by Jude Anthany Joseph, whose last directorial, 2018, received critical acclaim and commercial success.


A star kid’s new chapter begins



While Vismaya has largely stayed away from the limelight, her debut has sparked curiosity among Malayalam film enthusiasts. The news also brings back memories of her elder brother Pranav Mohanlal’s entry into the industry back in 2018 with Aadhi, directed by Jeethu Joseph.





Unlike many star parents, Mohanlal has always maintained a respectful silence about his children’s choices and careers. In past interviews, he mentioned that both Vismaya and Pranav were free to follow their own paths, with no pressure to enter the film industry.


A multi-talented debutante



Vismaya brings with her a strong creative streak and an impressive list of accomplishments. She is an artist who enjoys painting and writing. Vismaya has previously published a collection of poems titled 'Grains of Stardust'. She is also trained in martial arts, particularly Muay Thai — an unconventional but striking addition to her profile as a debutante actor.


Meanwhile, Pranav Mohanlal is all set to team up with the 'Bramayugam' director Rahul Sadasivan for the film 'Dies Irae'. Makers recently shared the first look with a caption that read, "#DIESIRAE ‘ഡീയസ് ഈറേ’ - This #HALLOWEEN ."
