Kalidas Jayaram entered showbiz as a child actor. He marked his debut with Sathyan Anthikad's directorial 2000 release 'Kochu Kochu Santhoshangal'. The next year Kalidas appeared in yet another movie, 'Ente Veedu Appuvinteyum' as a child actor and also bagged the National Award for Best Child Artist for his performance in the movie.

The actor made his debut as a lead in 2018 with the movie 'Poomaram' directed by Abrid Shine. 'Mr. & Ms. Rowdy', 'Argentina Fans Kaattoorkadavu', and 'Happy Sardar' are some of his Malayalam movies. The actor will be next seen in 'Jack and Jill', a movie directed by Santosh Sivan. Kalidas will be starring alongside Manju Warrier in the movie.
