This is how Vinay Forrt's Thamaasha got its name

Ashraf Hamza, who has been lauded for his debut directorial Thamaasha, says that a lot of thought went behind the naming of the film, which is being appreciated for its body positivity message. Speaking in an online chat, Ashraf says the name was given by one of the producers, Shyju Khalid.
“We thought long and hard about a name for the film,” says the director. “Then we felt that the story was told in the tone of humour.But if a question arises about whether this is a comedy, then we are happy. That is what we intended. Then, the idea of what should be considered humorous becomes clear.”
The film features Vinay Forrt as a bald professor who finds it difficult to find a wife, and Chinnu Chandni as an overweight, but confident youngster.
