After the controversies of 'Odiyan' have come to an end, director V. A. Shrikumar Menon has brought up another. Recently a poster got circulated on social media, which had actor
Mohanlal in it and the poster said that the movie is directed by V. A Shrikumar Menon. Actor Mohanlal was seen in a politician's avatar, somewhat similar to Kerala's Chief Minister,
Pinarayi Vijayan.
And the poster was discussed in the social media platforms, claiming that the director has collaborated with Mohanlal for the second time. However, the director himself has clarified about the poster and said that the news of him and Mohanlal collaborating for the project is false. And he also added that releasing these posters are something against the ethics of work.
The director took to his social media handle and clarified that he too has seen the poster circulating on the internet and denied the claim that the project is on. He said that as they are creative people, they definitely think of some projects, and sometimes design posters. From them, some might happen and some might not. The concept of 'Comrade' was made much before even thinking of 'Odiyan' and even actor Mohanlal doesn't know about that. V. A Shrikumar Menon also requested not to circulate fake poster. The director also added that whoever circulated the poster, has gone against the ethics of his/her work.
He wrote, "A news is being spread in the social media about a project of Sri. Mohanlal by name Comrade. As a creative person, I will & plan many projects some of which would happen and many won’t. This project was a part of thinking process years ago. It’s not at all an actual one. I strongly condemn the act of leaking this by a person whom I trusted and whoever has done is solely responsible for the consequences arising out of it. This is not at all professional attitude. I request not to believe such stories which are not even thought of.."
