Ann Augustine's return to M-Town
State award-winning actress Ann Augustine is making her second innings in M-Town after a break of four years. Speaking exclusively to ETimes, filmmaker Harikumar revealed that the diva is making her comeback with ‘Autorickshawkkarante Bharya’. Based on an eponymous story by M Mukundan, the upcoming film will feature Suraj Venjaramoodu and Ann Augustine in lead roles. Ann Augustine has roped in to play Radhika and Suraj is playing Sajeevan.
P Jayachandran bags JC Daniel award
Veteran Malayalam playback singer P Jayachandran has bagged the prestigious JC Daniel award, for his contribution to the Malayalam music industry. CM Pinarayi Vijayan will hand over the award at an event held on December 23 at the Durbar Hall.

Fahadh Faasil making headlines for ‘Pushpa: The Rise’
Fahadh Faasil has been in the spotlight this week for his latest release ‘Pushpa: The Rise’. The multi-lingual film had Allu Arjun in the lead role, and Fahadh is playing the antagonist. He has essayed the role of Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat IPS in the film and left the cinephiles spellbound by his performance.

Mohanlal’s ‘Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea’, which had hit the big screens earlier this month, had its digital premiere in India this week. “After ‘Kaalapani’ we had a plan of making Marakkar. But at that time it wasn’t possible, due to certain factors. In order to make a movie like this at that time, we would have to go abroad and film it there, the graphics that were required and the budget for it were beyond our imagination. So, we waited 25 years to make ‘Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea’, after ‘Kaalapani’!,” Mohanlal said, exclusively speaking to ETimes.
