'The Priest’ Teaser: Mammootty starrer has a lot more mystery in the box than expected

The wait is finally over! The much-awaited teaser of Mammootty’s ‘The Priest’ is out. The teaser begins with a voice-over that says, in every scientific theory, there is a dark zone that goes beyond the reach of explanation. Mammootty plays a charismatic priest whose aura will remind you of the Kadamattathu Kathanar. The makers have taken care not to divulge much about the film, and hence you will find it hard to figure out whether it’s a crime-drama, mystery, thriller or horror flick.The teaser also gives us glimpses of Manju Warrier, Nikhila Vimal, and Baby Monica, but it’s hard to guess the roles they are playing in the film.

The teaser has affirmed that the Mammootty starrer ‘The Priest’ has a lot more mystery in the box than expected. And, it is definitely going to glue you to your seats!
Directed by debutant Jofin T Chacko, ‘The Priest’ is bankrolled by Anto Joseph, Unnikrishnan B, and V N Babu, under the banner of Anto Joseph Film Company and RD Illuminations.
On the technical front, Akhil George is the cinematographer and Shameer Muhammed has roped in as the editor. Rahul Raj is in charge of the music and background score.
Mammootty plays the titular and the film also marks actress Manju Warrier’s first collaboration with the superstar. Actors Nikhila Vimal and Saniya Iyappan are playing important roles in the film that is expected to hit theatre screens soon.
