The Bengali actress will play a prominent role in Orissa It���s been a year since Tanushree Ghosh entered Mollywood. The actress, who made her M-Town debut with Arun Kumar���s Ee Adutha Kalathu, received rave reviews for her portrayal of Madhuri, mother of a 10-year-old boy.
Now, she will be seen in a powerful role in Padmakumar���s next, Orissa. ���Tanushree plays a social activist, who works for the welfare of tribal people in a village in Orissa.
She plays a school teacher, who battles against injustice,��� says Padmakumar.
Tanushree says, ���It���s been a year since I did Ee Adutha Kalathu. Though offers kept coming, I was particular that my next should also be a prominent one. When I heard Orissa���s script, I found it interesting and decided to take it up.��� Interestingly, the director was looking for a senior Bollywood artist for the role but finally decided to cast Tanushree. ���I consider it as an honour,��� says the actress, adding, ���If he thought I will fit in that role, it���s a great compliment.���
The actress further adds that she is particular about doing performance-oriented roles. ���Being an actor, I should do all types of roles. I want people to remember me as a good actress,��� she says.
