Award-winning actress
Swasika is on a promotional spree for her upcoming film ‘Chathuram’, in which she is essaying the lead role alongside
Roshan Mathew. The motion poster was launched lately, and it featured Swasika and Roshan Mathew’s characters lying on a bed and suggested an intimate moment. A section of the audience were upset as they “didn’t expect this from” her.
The comment section had several other vulgar comments, interestingly only aimed at Swasika and not the male actor, who is equally a part of the scene.
When a netizen, who appears to be a woman, asked whether the film was made only for the men, with a connotation, Swasika was quick to respond and gave a befitting reply.
“Why is it so, don’t love and lust apply to women? Like men, women too deserve to experience all pleasures and emotions, and if you have been living without realizing it, I pity you sister. ‘Adults only’ means anyone who is an adult could watch the film and not just adult men. Women too can watch the film safely in the theatres. Unlike the olden days, sex education has become relevant in the modern world. So, I would request you to accept or acknowledge the changes that are happening. Besides, I have nothing to say to those who focus only on the parts where clothes are absent,” Swasika replied.
