Suriya sends best wishes to Joju George’s debut directorial ‘Pani’

Joju George’s maiden directorial ‘Pani’ is gearing up for release, and the makers have recently launched the trailer. Superstar Suriya has now extended wishes to the team. In a note shared on X (formerly Twitter), Suriya showered praise on the trailer, and also wished all the best for the film. “Loved the trailer! Best wishes on your directorial debut Dear Joju #Pani,” Suriya penned.

‘Pani’ also features Joju George in the lead role, and the trailer hinted that the film is a revenge drama, with lots of action. In addition to Malayalam, the film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi languages.

Recently, Anurag Kashyap watched the special preview of the film, and called it a powerful thriller. In a note shared on Instagram, on Thursday (Oct 17), Anurag Kashyap said, “Malayalam Cinema continues to shock and surprise and blow your mind. Saw this powerful thriller/drama film from @jojugeorgeactorofficial . A super confident directorial debut that goes the distance . It rises to the level of some of the best Korean new wave films. Tamil filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj too watched the film and said, “I saw this film and it's Superb. Starring Joju George, the upcoming film also has actors Abhinaya, Sagar Surya, Junaiz VP , Seema, Sujith Shankar, Prashanth Alexander, Ranjith Velayudhan, Bobby Kurian, Rinosh George, Jayashanker and Abhaya Hiranmayi in supporting roles. The film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi, in addition to Malayalam.

‘Pani’ is slated to hit theatres on October 24.
