Suresh Gopi took to his official social media handles and shared a new poster for the film and penned a note that read, “ #Paappan and Michael reaching you soon! Excited to share our brand new poster.”

‘Salute’ will mark the Malayalam debut of the Bollywood actress Diana Penty who is best known for the films ‘Cocktail’, and ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’.

The editing section of ‘Salute’ will be handled by A Sreekar Prasad who has done the editing works for several films such as ‘Sarkar’, ‘Spyder’, ‘Billa’, and the upcoming films ‘RRR’, ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ and ‘CBI 5’.

‘Salute’ will be streamed on the OTT platform in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.

At first, the music of ‘Salute’ was planned to be composed by Santhosh Narayanan who was later replaced with Jakes Bejoy due to some unknown reason.

Dulquer Salmaan will be essaying the role of a cop character named Aravind Karunakaran in the film.

Director Rosshan Andrrews is teaming up with the duo writers Bobby and Sanjay after the success of the films ‘Mumbai Police’, ‘How Old Are You?’ and ‘Kayamkulam Kochunni’

The trailer of the film ‘Salute’ posits that the film will be a crime drama.

Earlier the film was planned to hit theatres on January 14. Later it was planned to skip the theatrical release and stream directly via the OTT platform on March 18.

As per the resources, the plot of the film will revolve around the retired sub-inspector character Aravind Karunakaran who is on a mission to solve one of the cold cases while he was in the service.

The poster features the actors Suresh Gopi and his son Gokul Suresh as the characters Abraham Mathew Mathan and Michael respectively. It will be the first time that both dad and son will be seen together for a film.

Suresh Gopi will be playing a senior police officer character in the film ‘Paappan’ which is touted as a crime thriller. Earlier the makers also unveiled a character look poster featuring Suresh Gopi as the police character named Abraham Mathew Mathan.

combo has never failed to create magic on screen. Their last collaboration was for the superhit film ‘Vazhunnor’ which was released 22 years back.

‘Paappan’ has a casting coup of sorts that includes the actors Sunny Wayne, Kaniha, Asha Sarath, Nyla Usha, Vijayaraghavan, Janardhanan, Shammi Thilakan, Binu Pappu, Neeta Pillai, Kaniha, and Tini Tom.

‘Paappan’s script is penned down by the writer RJ Shaan who is best known for the Manju Warrier - Shane Nigam starrer ‘C/O Saira Banu’. Ajay David Kachappily, who has collaborated previously with Joshiy for the film ‘Porinju Mariam Jose’, will crank the lens for ‘Paappan’. Jakes Bejoy will handle the music section and the editing by Shyam Sasidharan.
