Supriya Prithviraj's post gets reply from 'Rebel girl' Syrian Olympian Yusra Mardini

Prithviraj’s wife Supriya shared a sweet incident with daughter Alankrita from the dinner table about Syrian Olympic swimmer Yusra Mardini. And after she wrote about the incident, that surprised her and the actor, on social media and tagged the swimmer, who is now living in Hamburg, Germany, Yusra responded to the post.
So, to start at the beginning, Supriya wrote about the book Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls - 100 Tales of Extraordinary Women, “So dinner time today was family time as Daada made it back home today.Between discussions on where could we go for our next break Ally surprised us both by saying she wants to go to Syria! When asked why, Ally said that’s where Yusra Mardini stayed, one of the rebel girls! Now Daada and I were shell shocked at this unusual choice but had no idea who she was. Ally then proceeded to educate her parents about Yusra! We are still reeling from the conversation!The things today’s 6 year olds know! Ally’s current favourite book!”

She posted a picture from the page where Yusra Mardini’s story is featured. Supriya added in a comment on the post that she just discovered that Yusra was on Instagram and couldn’t “wait to show Ally her pictures!" Supriya also sent Yusra a message saying that Ally had read about her and couldn’t wait to meet her, and the Olympian responded. “That’s so sweet,” the Olympian wrote. “I saw the post and am myself a fan of Indian movies. I used to watch when I was younger with my family.”
Supriya replied that Ally was very excited to receive the message and hoped to meet her someday.
