Sunday Holiday actress Margret Mary's short film Kalyana Then Nila is a fun family drama

If you thought short films are only of the new gen, by the new gen and for the new gen, you are in for a surprise with Kalayana Then Nilaa, a newly-released short film in YouTube which has the Sunday Holiday actress Margret Mary playing a prominent role. The Sathyan Anthikad-style romantic family drama revolves around a middle-class family with the protagonist's arranged marriage proposal faces some unexpected twists and turns.
The short film is scripted and directed by Krishnakumar Menon. He says, “We have tried to use a simple and lucid narrative style. It has been backed up with a professional team of technicians in photography and music. We have also tried to deliver some picture-perfect frames and moods, especially with a filmy style song sequence. It can surely be called a harbinger of feature films targeting family audience, with characters having their mothers, fathers, uncles and sisters, a normalcy in Kerala which have been missing in the new gen movies and short films.”
