Subject will be the hero in my films: Nadirshah

After the unexpected success of Nadirshah's second directorial Kattapanayile Rithwik Roshan, there have been rumours that the filmmaker is now all set to director Mammootty for his next. However, Nadirshah tells us that the movie is still not green-lit.
Denying that the movie will be his next, Nadirshah tells us, 'I had talked to Mammukka and he had also agreed to do a movie.It was just a casual discussion. So, there's still no clarity on when the film would happen. So, it's way too premature to announce anything right now. I have not decided anything about my next project.'
The director's first film Amar Akbar Anthony had Prithviraj, Indrajith and Jayasurya in the lead, but he did a 180 turn for his second movie by casting relative newcomers in the lead. 'As far as I am concerned, subject is the hero,' he explains. 'Only after I am confident about the content, I approach the artiste. That too comes with its set of challenges because most of the stars in Malayalam are busy, and they don't usually have dates when we take our sweet time to come up with the best script. So, there's bound to be a waiting period.'
Nadirshah though says that he doesn't mind. 'I need to be absolutely sure about what elements that my script requires because ultimately people have to watch and enjoy the film when they come to the theatres,' he adds.
