Malayalam actor
Thampy Antony is currently in California and the actor recently spoke to us from the US. Though the US is also facing the challenging phase of coronavirus lockdown and its spread, the actor confirmed that all is well with him, personally.
He says, “A youngster I know, who hails from Hyderabad and works in the IT field, had Covid-19 and his dad also got infected by the same.
The father, who was about 70, passed away recently and his family is quarantined. I don’t know any Malayalis who are affected by the disease.”
The actor, whose most recent film is the award-winning project ‘Eelam,’ says he is using the lockdown time very productively. “I read and write a lot now. I even finished a novel and I am also writing for various newspapers. At times, I also go for an evening walk. The nature is quite calm and soothing now, with fewer vehicles and human beings outside. I walk for about two miles whenever I can.” The actor is also busy with his family and business works.
He says that we should all obey the authorities and practice social distancing at this time, strictly. “Let’s use this time to stay creative and prevent the spread of the disease,” the actor says.
