KPAC Lalitha has been hospitalized for a few days now and the Kerala government has now decided to extend medical assistance for her. In a meeting held on Wednesday, the state cabinet has decided to bear the medical expenses of KPAC Lalitha.
The veteran actress is also the chairperson of Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi.
KPAC Lalitha was reportedly shifted to a hospital in Kochi from Thrissur on November 8, where the actress is currently undergoing treatment for a liver-related ailment.
Edavela Babu, the General Secretary of AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes) had then shared, "She is now admitted to a hospital at Kochi and today her condition is better. She is diabetic and has a liver complaint also. Her daughter has now come from Pune and is with her.”

Sidharth Bharathan shared that she is recovering well. “Amma is fine and recuperating well... no need to panic... thank you all for the love, concern, and prayers,” Sidharth
Bharathan said in his social media note, as the fans of the actress were worried about her.
KPAC Lalitha, who began her career in the late 1960s is one of the most seasoned actors in Malayalam cinema. After debuting in movies with the 1969 release ‘Koottukudumbam’ directed by KS Sethumadhavan, she has worked in over 500 films. She has worked with most of the iconic filmmakers including her husband late Bharathan's films.
She has won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress twice, for her performances in the films 'Amaram' and 'Shantham'. She has also won four Kerala State Film Awards and several other accolades.
Her latest outing is ‘Home’.
