Srinath Rajendran gears up for his next

Last year’s sleeper hit, Second Show, gifted Mollywood with new actors — Dulquer Salmaan, Sunny Wayne and Gauthami Nair, and a talented filmmaker, Srinath Rajendran.
The director, whose next film has already raised eyebrows with its quirky title Koothura, is now in the final stages of scripting with Second Show collaborator Vini Vishwa Lal.
Though there have been rumours that Vineeth Sreenivasan, Asif Ali and Sunny Wayne will be a part of the project, Srinath tells us that they haven’t approached any actor yet.
“We would be done with the final draft of the film only by next month and only after that we will be showing it around to the actors and finalise the casting,” he says.
While he says he doesn’t want to unveil the details of the film, he informs us, “Symbolically, it’s about three kites that have lost their way.”
