After all the controversies, legal notice and the problems, the wink girl,
Priya Prakash Varrier clarifies that her upcoming film,
'Sridevi Bungalow'
has nothing to do with the late Bollywood actress
Sridevi Kapoor. The actress and the team of 'Sridevi Bungalow' clarified about the recent controversies associated with the movie.
The actress and the team released a video on the internet claiming that the movie is not related with the late actress, but a simple suspense thriller. Priya said, "We couldn't give complete clarity to the questions at that point of time (controversy). This movie has nothing to do with Sridevi's life or death. And we had no intentions to hurt her or her family members' feelings." The actress also clarified that as soon as the name, title, and the teaser of the movie came out, it became a controversy as it had resemblance with Sridevi's life and demise and they didn't get a chance to clarify the things. This hints that the teaser which resembled the death of actress Sridevi was a coincidental incident in the movie.
'Sridevi Bungalow' is an upcoming Bollywood movie directed by M-Town's film-maker Prasanth Mambully.
Prasanth Mambully
made his debut through Mohanlal starrer film 'Bhagavan,' which was an experimental film. The film was shot in a duration of 19hrs. It was shot with the help of seven cameras at a time and in different locations.
Coming back to 'Sridevi Bungalow', the team has shot much of its schedules in London. When the teaser of the film was out, the movie created a lot of controversies, as the teaser portrayed the rise of a famous actress, who at last dies in a bath-tub, which had an uncanny resemblance to late actress Sridevi's life and death by accidental drowning. When the teaser made waves in Bollywood, late Sridevi's spouse
Boney Kapoor filed a legal notice against the film.
