Actor and AMMA president Shwetha Menon on Saturday shared her grief over the passing of veteran Malayalam filmmaker and actor Sreenivasan. Sharing her shock upon learning the news, she mentioned how she never imagined that their recent conversation would be their last.

The actress took to her Facebook post, sharing a picture with the legendary filmmaker. She wrote, “A few days ago, when I spoke to you, I had no idea that would be our last conversation. I’m still in shock. I can’t believe you’re gone.” She also addressed him affectionately as “Sreeniyetta.” “I honestly don’t know what to say. Going to miss you, Sreeniyetta. You’ll live on through your work, and in our hearts, always. om shanti shanti shanti,” she added.

About Sreenivasan
Sreenivasan was one of the Malayalam cinema’s most prominent and influential figures. He passed away at the Government Taluk Hospital in Tripunithura at the age of 69. He was dealing with health issues for some time.
He is known for his screenplays for films such as ‘Odaruthammava Aalariyam’, ‘Sanmanassullavarkku Samadhanam’, ‘Gandhinagar 2nd Street’, ‘Nadodikkattu’, ‘Pattanapravesham’ and many more.
He is survived by his wife Vimala and their two sons, Vineeth Sreenivasan and Dhyan Sreenivasan, both well-known actors in the Malayalam film industry.
