Sreenath Bhasi starrer ‘Pongala’ starts rolling

Sreenath Bhasi is all set for his next film ‘Pongala’ after the magnificent success of the survival thriller film ‘Manjummel Boys’. According to the latest updates, ‘Pongala’ has started rolling.

‘Pongala’ tells the story of clashes among the people living in Vypin Harbor. The movie will be executed in an intense dramatic style exploring the acting potential of Sreenath Bhasi and several others who play significant roles in the film.


Directed by AB Binil who earlier helmed the Indrans starrer thriller ‘Vamanan’, ‘Pongala’ comes with the tagline ‘Liberation of a coast’ and Sreenath Bhasi plays the lead role in the movie that also features the actors Bibin George, Harish Uthaman, Baburaj, Alencier Ley Lopez, Roshan Basheer and many more in pivotal roles.

Earlier, the makers had shared the first look poster for ‘Pongala’, unveiled via Fahadh Faasil’s official social media handle. Tharun Bhaskaran will be cranking the lens for this Sreenath Bhasi starrer and Kapil Krishna is in charge of the editing section. Alex Paul handles the music department of ‘Pongala’.

On the other hand, Sreenath Bhasi’s ‘Manjummel Boys’, directed by Chidambaram, turned out to be a blockbuster. The movie was based on a real incident that happened in Kodaikanal and also featured the actors Soubin Shahir, Deepak Parambol, Balu Varghese, Ganapathi, and several others in pivotal roles. The movie was hailed for its magnificent execution, performances, and other factors.
