Sreenath Bhasi is a school teacher in satire film 'Padachone Ingalu Katholi'

We have seen him the most as an urban youngster, but Sreenath Bhasi will be appearing as a rustic youth from Kannur, in an upcoming satire film directed by Bijith Bala. The movie, titled

Padachone Ingalu Katholi

, also has Grace Antony, Ann Seethal, Alencier Ley, Hareesh Kanaran, Nirmal Palazhi and Dinesh Prabhakar in major roles.

Director Bijith tells us, “The story is set in Kannur and is a satire that has Sreenath’s character at the centre. That said, everyone else too has prominent roles in it and the story is the real hero of the film. We are presenting it as a village-based story, featuring common-men characters.”

He tells us more about Sreenath’s character, “He is a school teacher, employed at a local educational institution. He got the job in the management quota and is a temporary employee, so he has been working without a salary for a long time without it. The film shows his efforts to improve his job situation and the various incidents around it.” Sreenath is known for his signature Kochi-flavoured style of dialgoues, but Bijith says the actor will be speaking in Kannur style, in the film. “We aren’t trying to bring in the raw Kannur diction in the dialogues, but are only trying to give it a flavour of the same. We also have a language supervisor on the set to take care of it,” he explains. The movie has Kozhikode as the main location.
