Prithviraj Sukumaran’s ‘Aadujeevitham’ enters the Rs 100-crore club
Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer ‘Aadujeevitham’, which hit the cinemas on March 28, entered the Rs 100-crore club in 9 days! The ambitious project, directed by Blessy, is an adaptation of Benyamin’s best-selling novel Aadujeevitham, which is based on a true incident. The film has emerged as a blockbuster, showing no signs of stopping, as the film continues to achieve great success, despite the arrival of other big-ticket releases.

Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur’s ‘Family Star’ hits the theatres
Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur starrer ‘Family Star’ released on April 5. Directed by Parasuram Petla, 'Family Star' is a leisurely-paced family drama. As the title suggests, ‘Family Star’ has managed to impress the audience, especially the family audience. Vijay’s ‘Ghilli’ set for re-release
Superstar Vijay’s celebrated film ‘Ghilli’ is set for re-release. The film will be re-released on April 20, on its 20th anniversary, and the movie buffs are thrilled. The actioner released in 2004 has Vijay, Trisha, and Prakash Raj in the lead roles. Velu, Dhanalakshmi, and Muthupandi and set to entertain the audience, and the makers of the film even launched a re-release trailer!


Amit Trivedi to mark his debut in Kannada
Popular music composer Amit Trivedi, best known for his work in Hindi films like ‘Queen’, ‘Dear Zindagi’ and ‘Udta Punjab’ is set to debut in the Kannada movie industry. He has roped in to compose music for Dhananjaya’s upcoming film, ‘Uttarakaanda’. The project will be made in two parts. Set in North Karnataka, the film has Dhananjaya playing the lead role of Gabru Satya. Shivarajkumar is also part of the cast.
