Soubin Shahir will be seen playing the lead role in
Sidharth Bharathan’s upcoming directorial venture ‘
Djinn
’. Recently the makers announced the worldwide theatrical release date of the film which is scheduled for May 13.

Previously the makers unveiled an intriguing teaser for ‘Djinn’ that showcased Soubin Shahir’s character having a multiple personality disorder. The film seems to be following the thread of a serious subject filled with some commercial elements. Although much of the story thread was not revealed in the 1 minute eight seconds teaser, it's sure that the director Sidharth Bharathan will be giving ample space for the actor Soubin Shahir to unveil his acting talents.

The official teaser was launched by the young and talented Mollywood actor Dulquer Salmaan. While sharing the teaser, the actor penned a note that read, “Here is the official teaser of ‘Djinn’, starring my dearest machan Soubin Shahir, Santhy Balachandran and a host of other actors. Directed by Sidhu (Sidharth Bharathan), Produced by Straightline Cinemas. Written by Rajesh Gopinadhan Shot by Girish Gangadharan. Prashant Pillai has done the music and Deepu Joseph has done the edits.Wishing the entire team only the very best.”
Helmed by the director-actor Sidharth Bharathan, the screenplay and dialogues are penned down by Rajesh Gopinadhan. Gireesh Gangadharan will crank the lens for the film and Deepu Joseph is in charge of the editing section. Prashanth Pillai is in charge of the music department of ‘Djinn’.
Apart from Soubin Shahir, ‘Djinn’ also features the actors Santhy Balachandran, Sharafudheen,
