Sometimes I feel nothing has happened to Chiranjeevi Sarja: Deepti Sati

Deepti Sati was shocked to hear about Chiranjeevi Sarja's demise. He is her co-star in her next Kannada release, Rajamarthanda which is expected to release in January 2021. The actress reveals that she is still not out of the shock.

"I met Chiranjeevi in February and he was completely fine. It was shocking for me when I heard the news of his demise. I really didn't want to believe it for a while. Sometimes, I feel like 'no...no... nothing has happened'. We had shared so much of time together on set and on screen. My mom and I were really upset. I think it will take time to normalise," she says.

On the movie, Deepti says the team is aiming a theatrical release next year. "The work of the movie is almost done. Apparently, they are planning to add a few more scenes in it as Chiranjeevi has left the world. His dubbing is pending, and I think, his brother would be doing it. It has been a very uncertain year," she adds.

The Kannada film industry is still not out of the shock of Chiranjeevi Sarja's untimely demise on June 7 due to cardiac arrest. The actor’s movie Shivarjuna, which released on March 12, 2020 was running successfully in theatres when lockdown declared due to Covid-19. His better half Meghana Raj gave birth to a baby boy on October 22. Meghana Raj's son's cradle ceremony took place on November 12 at her house.
