Sohan Seenulal’s ‘Unlock’ goes on floors in Kochi

,’ is directing his next.

The film, titled ‘

Unlock

,’ has Chemban Vinod Jose, Sreenath Bhasi, Indrans, Shaji Navodaya and

Mamtha Mohandas

in major roles. The shoot of the movie has commenced near Janatha Road in Kochi today. The switch-on of the project was done by director B Unnikrishnan.

The film is to be produced by Sajeesh Manjery in the banner of Motion Prime Movies.
As for acting, Sohan’s upcoming projects are ‘Thami’ by K R Praveen. A few years ago, the director had also announced a movie in which Mammootty would be playing the character of a dwarf.

Interestingly, Sohan debuted in Malayalam films 25 years ago as a child actor through the film ‘Kabuliwala’ starring Vineeth, Jagathi Sreemar, Innocent and Charmila, as one of the kids who is a rag picker with the characters Kannas and Kadalas. He later returned to films as an assistant director through the film ‘One Man Show’ directed by Shafi, after completing his graduation. He has assisted Shafi in about 8 films, till ‘Lollypop.’ He has directed the Malayalam film with Mammootty in the lead titled ‘Doubles.’

After Kabuliwala, it’s in the Nivin Pauly – Abrid Shine film ‘Action Hero Biju’ that Sohan starred as an actor, as a cop.
In a recent interview, he had revealed that his family is from Vaduthala in Ernakulam, and consists of his dad, mom and younger brother.
