Siju Wilson packs on the pounds and projects
Actor Siju Wilson aims to try a different look and personality in each of his roles and he’s getting ample opportunities to do so in his four projects set for release this year. “I would love to do every genre of film, but happen to do one film at a time, because I aim to sport a different look and mannerism for each one,” he says.
While he lost about 10 kg for an earlier release titled
“It has an investigation as the main thread, but also humour and rivalry with another policeman played by Vinay Forrt,” says Siju. He had to put on about 7kg and grow a thicker moustache to obtain the more mature personality of 90s actors, he explains. “People said I’ve managed to get the look of yesteryear stars. It is the sort of movie that I enjoyed watching in my younger days and gave me the desire to act,” he says, adding that even the songs, composed Mejo Joseph, have a nostalgic feel.
In
Siju will also been seen playing a suave plastic surgeon in Safe, a political thriller, which is set to be the first movie to release. He essays the love interest of Anusree, who plays an activist, in the Pradeep Kalipurayath directorial.
His fourth upcoming movie is Jenith Kachappilly’s comedy titled
