Sidharth Bharathan’s next film ‘Chathuram’ is a family drama

Director Sidharth Bharathan has started shooting his next film, ‘Chathuram,’ in Mundakkayam in Kottayam district. The movie, which is a family drama, is co-written by Sidharth and writer Vinoy Thomas.The film’s writer Vinoy tells us, “The shoot is happening around Koottikkal, near Mundakkayam and it will be on for about 1.5 months. The film has four protagonists, played by Swasika Vijay, Alencier Ley, Shanti Balachandran and Roshan Mathew, and all of them have equally prominent roles in the story. Actress Geethi, who is part of films like ‘Churuli’ also plays a major role in the movie. We are shooting aiming to screen the movie in theatres. At the moment, we don’t have the liberty to disclose more about its story line or characters.”Deepu Joseph is editing the film shot by Pratheesh Varma while Prasanth Pillai handles the music. Sidharth also has his Soubin Shahir film ‘Djinn’ coming up, which also has Shanthi in a major role. It is a fantasy drama, which is also said to have an equal dose of suspense and family entertainer elements in it. The film also has Sharaf U Dheen, Shine Tom Chacko, Leona Lishoy, Sabumon Abdusamad, Jaffar Idukki, Nishanth Sagar, Sudheesh, KPAC Lalitha and Binny Rinky Benjamin in major roles. The movie is scripted by Rajesh Gopinadhan, edited by Bavan Sreekumar and it has Santhosh Verma and Anwar Ali as lyricists. Reportedly, the movie’s shoot was wrapped up in the month of March last year and the director had also shared a pack up photo.
