Veteran Malayalam actress KPAC Lalitha was admitted to a hospital in Kochi on Monday (November 8) for multiple health issues. Son, Sidharth Bharathan has now shared a health update. On Tuesday the actor-filmmaker took to his social media handle and confirmed that his mom’s health is getting better and there is no need to panic. He also sent gratitude to all the fans who have expressed concern and prayed for her well-being.

“Amma is fine and recuperating well... no need to panic... thank you all for the love, concern, and prayers,” Sidharth Bharathan said in his social media note.

According to reports, KPAC Lalitha’s health is stable and she has been shifted to a room from ICU on Monday.
Edavela Babu, the General Secretary of AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes), said, "She is now admitted to a hospital at Kochi and today her condition is better. She is diabetic and has a liver complaint also. Her daughter has now come from Pune and is with her.”
Fans of the actress and Malayali movie buffs were pouring in prayers ever since the news came out.

The two times National award-winning actress is also the chairperson of the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi.

KPAC Lalitha made her debut in movies in 1969 with KS Sethumadhavan’s directorial ‘Koottukudumbam’. In her career spanning over five decades, KPAC Lalitha has worked in over 500 films. From the prostitute Kalyani in Adoor Gopalakrishnan’s ‘Swayamvaram’ to the lovely Omana in ‘Kanalkkattu’ to the serial actor Akashavani in the recent ‘Varane Avashyamund’, KPAC Lalitha has breathed life into numerous characters.
KPAC Lalitha is the wife of late Bharathan, the legendary Malayalam filmmaker.
From black and white movies to the colour, film to digital, classics to realism, she has been part of Malayalam cinema’s transition. She has won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress twice, for her performances in the films 'Amaram' and 'Shantham'. She has also won four Kerala State Film Awards and several other accolades.
Her latest release is ‘Home’.
